Charles Duerden died of his wounds in hospital at Le Treport on 24.3.1918 and was buried in the Military Cemetery there.
Was a teacher at St. Silas's School and St. Hilda's School towards the end of her career.
Was Assistant Head at Nelson Grammer School then Head of the Technical College.
